Ronald Edward Patterson, 68, of Pascagoula passed away peacefully on Thursday March 19, 2009.       He was born on December 19, 1940 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has been a longtime resident of Pascagoula. Mt. Patterson was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, where he enjoyed a distinguished 22-year career in the Submarine forces, retiring with the rank of Master Chief. An MBA graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, he also served as Director of Physical Plant for Biloxi Regional Medical Center for 20 years.       He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Clara Patterson of Milwaukee, WI and his granddaughter, Tara McDonough, of Prairieville, LA.       An avid bass fisherman and life member of Singing River Bass Masters, Ron is survived by his loving wife of 42 years. the former Clara Louise Kuapahi of Honolulu, Hawaii; sons Ryan Patterson of Pascagoula, MS;, Bob Donough of New Orleans, LA; Ricky McDonough of Winter Haven, FL; sister Pam Miles and her children Tami, Tricia, Tracy and Jimmy of Oconomowoc, WI; grandchildren, Megan, Brittany, Edwin, Sean and Sydney; Ginette Champion of New Orleans, LA; Althea Traham of Gautier, MS and numerous other family and friends.       The family would like to express their gratitude to Odyssey Hospice and to Joe and Brenda Kempner for their kind and generous help over the past few months.       A private family service is planned and, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Odyssey Healthcare of the Gulf Coast 15212 Crossroads Parkway Gulfport, MS.       You may sign the guest book online at www.orbyantokeefe.com
